Daniel C. Van Wyk, Brigadier General (Ret.) USAF

Daniel C. Van Wyk Daniel C. Van Wyk brings extensive experience in developing and implementing policy and procedures that affect national organizations. He is a proven and skilled executive able to analyze complex issues and provide positive solutions impacting the efficiency, effectiveness and performance of an organization. With broad expertise in strategic planning, operations and emergency management, and leading complex change he brought positive results to many organizations. Mr. Van Wyk is a retired Brigadier General from the Air National Guard, an attorney and former human resources director.

Mr. Van Wyk led the team that rewrote the policies and procedures for all facets of cadet life when the Air Force Academy was plagued by a number of sexual assault scandals. He was a leader in developing the Logistics Strategic Plan that provided guidance to a national organization operating in all fifty-four states and territories affecting 106,000 people. He has developed statewide plans for risk management, continuity of operations, anti-terrorism and resource protection while maintaining fiscal responsibility for these programs. He is an expert in force protection and internal security, including preparedness response and incident management. He has performed vulnerability assessments and developed security programs, performance measurement plans and crisis management procedures.

Mr. Van Wyk held a number of leadership and management positions including executive functions in government and military organizations. He commanded and provided network warfare operations and defense support to the combatant commanders, service components and the state to meet cyberspace mission requirements. A unique background including; law degree and practice, military career including senior leadership positions and consulting opportunities in the areas of cyber operations and risk mitigation have created a set of skills that allows for complex issue assessment and discovery matched with the ability to design and develop creative and effective solutions. He served on the Garnet Valley School Board for over nine years and provided vision and oversight to the School District of over 4800 students, 350 faculty and staff members, executing a $75 million yearly budget. He was a member of the committee appointed by Delaware County, PA that wrote the Hazard Vulnerability and Hazard Mitigation Plan (Natural Hazards) affecting all 600,000 county residents.

Dan earned a Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania state and federal courts. He received a Bachelor of Science from Bloomsburg University. He is also a graduate of the Air War College. He is an experienced Board member, Co-Adjunct Faculty and possesses a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government clearance.
